Join us for a Slow Food Edinburgh Big Table where we will explore the history and food affinities of sake. Still unfamiliar to many, sake is Japan’s traditional recreational beverage, dating back 1800 years according to historical records. Like wine, it is made in various styles, with a variety of flavor and aroma expressions. The event will be hosted by Slow Food member Harajuku Kitchen (in the Bistro on Gillespie Place) on Tuesday, 7th November, 6:30pm–8:30pm, where we will be joined by sake specialist Masayo Nuttall from World Sake Imports. Guests will taste three sakes paired with accompanying dishes. Come curious and feel free to ask questions as we will all be there to taste and learn!
